Since the attempted coup on January 6th, 2021 when a violent mob attempted to stop the peaceful transfer of power, American elections and our democracy itself have been under unprecedented assault. Not since the Civil War has this country seen such a sustained, existential threat to who we are as a nation. That threat must be met with action – and with a plan to win. That is our mission.

President Donald Trump said he would be a “dictator on day one.” Our American Autocracy Threat Tracker comprehensively catalogs all of Trump’s and his allies’ Project 2025 and other specific plans and promises. We also catalog potential bipartisan solutions to address the threat both now and should it come to pass in 2025. The full Threat Tracker is updated regularly.

We convened political and thought leaders from across the ideological spectrum and hundreds of Americans for a summit: Autocracy in America – A Warning and Response. This was a unifying call to action and a moment for hope. Watch the panel discussions.
