Defending the Rule of Law
Autocracy forms when the rule of law disappears. We work tirelessly to hold wrongdoers accountable. Often that means suing bad actors—including the government itself—on behalf of the American people and the individuals directly harmed by policies that undermine democracy and violate the constitution.

Democracy Defenders Action is representing the League of United American Citizens (LULAC) in California to protect the Prop 50 map to ensure representation for majority Latino districts.

Additionally, our work is centered as part of a broad coalition committed to protecting our democracy and our people through the courts, in our communities, and in the halls of power.
